What was your first job?

A carpenter.

What is your favorite food?

Lake Perch from Wisconsin.

Brown County Fairgrounds in DePere, Wisconsin.

What was your most thrilling experience in racing?

First heat race win when George Welch got my car going.

What racing accomplishment are you most proud of?

Being elected as the President of Badger Midget Racing (BMARA) and establishing a schedule which included races five nights a week, all within 80 miles of Milwaukee.

Proudest accomplishment away from racing?

Knowing that my six children are all doing well.

What was your biggest fear?

Being killed in a race car.

Best advise your father ever gave you?

Education is all important.

What did you try to teach your children?

Get a good job and stay with it.

Who was the greatest influence on your life?

Wally Zale and George Welch.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

"Going to see an Al Jolson movie with my father."

What do you appreciate most in others?

Honesty and fairness.

What is your favorite color?

Green

What is your favorite movie?

"Riders of the Purple Sage" (1931) with George O'Brien.

What is your favorite television show?

"Everybody Love Raymond"

Past: Wally Zale and A.J. Foyt

Being a loyal friend.
